Halloween movies to watch before October 31st

Have you watched any scary movies this month? Well, you better start soon because the month is almost over!

Start off with a few classic Halloween scares like the original Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street or Halloween. If you’ve never seen these movies you should really hop on the bandwagon and get to know Jason, Freddy and Michael.

Then throw it back with some old school Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown (my personal favorites). Gather your friends together and grab popcorn and some candy and reminisce on how scary you used to think they were.

Maybe there will be a cloudy, rainy day where all you want to do is lie around in your pajamas and eat some goodies. You know what else is a perfect thing to do on a day like that? Harry Potter marathon!

You can never go wrong with Monsters Inc., Monster House, Goosebumps or the Scooby Doo movies either! They are classics that could never get old!

Maybe fake monsters and fake murder stories don’t interest you. What about real-life ghost stories? Paranormal Activity is always a fun movie to watch! Don’t watch it alone though, that’s no fun.

Looking for a Halloween movie that’s less scary and will make you laugh? How about any of the Scary Movie movies. You have many to choose from! My recommendation would be Scary Movie 3, it never fails to make me crack up!

Are you a fan of Charlie Brown? It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown is a great classic short film that will put you in the Halloween spirit.
Since all of the movies I’ve listed so far are mainly from before 2005, I’ll list some newer 2017 movies. First, there’s a Netflix original, The Babysitter that was released on October 13.

The new big screen movies include Happy Death Day, and of course the remake that everyone’s been buzzing over, It. Better go see those now before they’re out of theaters!

Now I have a personal recommendation: Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. It is a perfect movie if you don’t want a typical horror film or comedic Halloween-related movie. It is a pure mystery and excitement-filled thriller, with a few creepy characters and a major plot twist. This movie will have you on the edge of your seat, eager to find out what happens next.

So if you want to be in the Halloween spirit, watch one of the many movies I listed above. And if you still haven’t picked out a costume for yourself yet, maybe one of these movies will give you an idea. You only have a few days left!

      Happy Halloween ladies and ghouls!
