The university store has it all

Bonfires, beach trips and long lazy days. What’s not to love about summer? With the spring semester coming to an end, Bloomsburg University students have a lot to look forward to. New jobs, internships, vacations or simply returning to their version of home sweet home. With less than two weeks to cram for finals, a sunny and serene break is waiting right around the corner.

There’s something else that students have to look forward to and that’s the grand opening of the new University Store. If you’ve been around campus long enough, you know that if you need it, the University Store has it.

That obscure textbook that you should’ve bought, like, yesterday? The University Store has it at a competitive price. Your roommate spilled her Unicorn Frappuccino all over your laptop? The University Store sells Apple computers. Temperatures are rising and you need some new clothes? Stop by the store for affordable collegiate apparel. Your major requires that you get your fingerprints taken? Head to the University Store. You forgot to buy your cap and gown and you graduate in ten minutes? The University Store has got you, fam. From snacks to school supplies, the University Store has it all.

So, you might ask, other than all the reasons we love the University Store, what else is new? The University Store is being brought to you as a package deal along with fancy new dorms and restaurants. You know that busy construction site on Second Street that makes everyone late for class in the morning? Well, you’re looking at the newest addition to campus that will house 500 new students during the fall. If you’d like to be one of them, apply right away, because everyone will want to live in the new dorms.

Not only will you have the convenience of the University Store and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream at your fingertips, the new building will house a long-awaited Chick-fil-a. Yep, that means fresh salads and sandwiches to go with your busy schedule. Mexican cuisine more your style? Head across the hall to Qdoba Mexican Eats, offering all the tacos, burritos and enchiladas that Husky Gold can buy!

Running a little low on funds? Worry not. With the new building comes new employment opportunities. Both Chik-fil-a and Qdoba Mexican Eats are looking to hire, plus, new CA positions will be opening up as well. The University Store hires new student workers every semester, so why not be one of them? On-campus jobs are sensitive to a student’s hectic schedule and a great way to make extra cash this summer.

So, stop by the University Store’s temporary location in Kehr Union for great sales on clothing, collegiate accessories, employment opportunities and more. Don’t forget to pick up a “Bloomsburg University Mom” t-shirt just in time for Mother’s Day. Before you skip town after your last final, drag all your textbooks in for Buy Back. This end of the semester event allows you to earn a third or more market value for your textbooks in cold hard cash. As always, the University Store has your back. It’s good to be a Husky!
