Update on Pennsylvania driver’s license requirements

Bloomsburg University Police would like to update you on the current changes to the PA driver’s licensing requirements. This information is provided to help make you compliant with Pennsylvania law and clear up any questions concerning the new changes.

Important changes to you PA Driver’s License information update: also known as REAL ID

These new enhancements to your current Pa driver’s license are available starting in the spring of 2019. If you are interested in obtaining one, Penn-Dot requires additional information and verifying documents:
 
1. Proof of Identity: original or certified copy of a birth certificate with a raised seal of a valid U.S. passport.

2. Social Security card, which cannot be laminated or sealed in plastic.

3. Two (2) current physical PA address (proof), such as current unexpired Pa driver’s License, or Identification card, and no more than 90 day old bank statement or utility bill with the same name and address.

4. Proof of all legal name changes if applicable, such as a marriage certificate or court order issued by your county’s family court.
