Well everyone, it’s April, and you know what that means: it’s time to seriously consider hitting the gym. Whether you’ve got your eye on a new swimsuit, been dying to run your first 5K, or you just want to make a lifestyle change to be healthier for this beautiful weather, shedding some of the weight you’ve built up over the winter months is probably on your radar now.
But, as every serious gym junkie would say, you really can’t get the most out of your reps or cardio without a great playlist to push you through that last grueling set. Thankfully, Spotify has all the songs you could hope for to make a playlist that’ll really help you feel the burn or go that extra mile.
One song that was practically made for a workout playlist and is almost a requirement if you’re going to hit the weights is “Till I Collapse” by the one and only Eminem. The Real Slim Shady never could’ve imagined that his hit single would end up in the weight room, but when you’re burning through chest presses and squats, nothing is better than some hardcore rap to get you through.
If you’re one who loves a more dance-pop feel for your workout but still want a good beat to pace yourself to, “Yeah!” by Usher is a mid-2000s hit that’ll have you busting through your sets in no time. And if you want a good cool-down song to appreciate your new gains, “SexyBack,” the classic song from Justin Timberlake, really makes you feel like the million bucks you are.
