On October 1, the Huskies Club Baseball team partnered with the Edward Morgan Heckler foundation for a golf outing. The event was to help bring awareness to Fentanyl Prevention in the memory of Heckler. The event consisted of over 40 golfers. The golf outing took place at Hemlock Creek. Heckler was a member of the Huskies Club baseball team for three years. He excelled in the outfield for the Huskies playing all three positions. Heckler lost his life due to an overdose in August of last year.
Edward was referred to as Morgan in his family.
“ One of our true joys was watching Morgan play baseball. We drove up a bunch of times to watch him play. Watching him play is what we loved to do,” said Grant Heckler Morgan’s father.
“ Morgan really loved being in Bloom; it was his favorite place in the world. He was the happiest at Bloom when playing baseball,” he added.

Grant and his family couldn’t thank the club baseball team enough for their partnership.
“The fact that these guys are willing to do this outing every year is truly appreciated,” said Grant Heckler.
