There is a new offensive coordinator in town for the Bloomsburg Huskies football team.
Last month, offensive coordinator Stephen Pribble left the program after two years with the Huskies. Now the Huskies turn to Tim Landis as new offensive coordinator for the 2023-24 season. Landis comes to the Huskies with a ton of experience.
Landis was the head coach at Bucknell University from 2003-09. He guided the Bison to an overall record of 32-46. Landis’ best season for the Bison came in 2004, when the Bison went 7-4. Landis’ 78 games as head coach was the fourth-most in program history. His teams were among the best FCS schools in rushing offense, finishing in the top 10 in 2003, 2004, and 2006. While at Bucknell, Landis coached All-American and National Football League standout Sean Conover.
After Bucknell, Landis took a job as assistant coach focusing on tight ends at San Jose State. Then in 2011, he served as the head coach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute posting a 4-5 overall record.
Most recently, Landis served as the Assistant Head Coach, Quarterback and Special teams coordinator at Lycoming College. In Landis’ first year with the Warriors, Landis helped the team to an overall record of 8-2. As quarterbacks coach, he helped quarterback Tyler Jenny to a great season. Jenny passed for 2,404 yards and 24 touchdowns. Landis also won a Middle Atlantic Conference title with the Warriors. Landis coached the Warriors for 10 years.
Landis recorded an 89-103-1 record in 18 years as a college head coach, with 12 seasons coming as winning seasons during his years head coaching.
Landis will have his hands full as the offensive coordinator this season, as the Huskies only averaged 15 points per game. The Huskies averaged 122.5 rushing yards per game. They also lost all conference running back Kaleb Monaco to the transfer portal.
