Bloomsburg Department Of Athletics and Husky Legacy Club proudly celebrated Coach Danny Hale enshrinement into the College Football Hall Of Fame as part of the 2024 Induction Class.
The event was held as a celebration of the coaching and life achievements of one Danny Hale, who served as head coach of the Bloomsburg Football team from 1993 to 2012, where he posted an outstanding 173-56-1. With his 213-69-1 record he is regarded as one of the winningest coaches in all of NCAA DII history.
Having coached for both West Chester and Bloomsburg respectively, the event was held following their game Saturday September 28th at Monty’s in the Pettit Athletic Complex on the upper campus of Bloomsburg.
Alumni ,as well as current players, from both teams gathered and reminisced about the life and shared connection with Danny Hale.
“I haven’t seen some of these guys in 25 years, so it’s been awesome to not only see the guys that you’ve played with and tell stories you used to talk about..but also meet new guys before or after your time and just introduce yourself. It’s a family atmosphere we’ve been looking for”, said Dave Wickersham, Husky Legacy Secretary, Bloomsburg Football 1996-99.
Danny Hale will be introduced into the College Football Hall Of Fame on December 10 at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada.
