The Community Government Association (CGA) at Commonwealth University: Bloomsburg is dedicated to advocating for and representing students democratically; in this; CGA owns three organizations on campus as a way of connecting with students and providing students with more opportunities for involvement.
CGA’s biggest organizations today are The Honeysuckle Appartments, The University Store, and Quest. The Honeysuckle apartments are off-campus apartments owned by CGA. They are located just off-campus at 111 Honeysuckle Court, Bloomsburg, PA, 17815. The goal of the Honeysuckle apartments is to provide another option for students looking to live off campus. It is close and convenient and comes with many amenities. Ranging from a patio and grill to PC and Macbook labs.
The University Store located in Soltz Residents Hall is also owned and run by CGA. The store is dedicated to providing easy access to any daily items students may need while on campus, as well as having a variety of apparel and collectibles.
Quest is a CGA organization that is an outdoor adventure program that encourages students to spend time having fun outside while learning important skills such as leadership and teamwork. It is currently directed by Nick McCormack who is ultrapassionate about sharing his love for the outdoors with college students.
Overall, the Community Government Association at Commonwealth University: Bloomsburg is focused on shaping an inclusive community where student voices are heard and change is possible. CGA continuously works on enhancing Bloomsburg students’ experiences both on and off campus.
