This year, for the first time ever, the Program Board, the on-campus organization in charge of university events, put together a “Water Inflatable Game Day” on the quad. It was held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7.
Everything was free for Bloomsburg University students. This event featured slip-and-slides, a splash obstacle course and a dunk tank.
This was the first year this was brought to the quad because of the recently-formed Games and Recreation committee on the Program Board. This new committee is run by Ashley Anduzzi.
“Program board organizes free events and anyone can join the organization at any time,” Anduzzi says.
This student-run organization puts together free events every week. Such events this week included Trivia Night, which happened on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Kehr Union Multipurpose A room.
On Friday Sept. 14 from noon to 4, Program Board will host a “Party on the Patio.”
Vice president of Program Board Autumn McGrath says, “This is a great event to kick off the beginning of the school year. There will be popcorn given out and reptiles to look at. Also, there will be large inflatable games on the quad.”
That same night there also will be Bingo held in the ballroom of the Kehr Union Building. You can win cash prizes at this event. Free Food Friday is another event happening the same day, which runs from 11 p.m.-1 a.m.
At this event there is pizza, wings and mozzarella sticks. This event will be paired with Kahoot trivia, which you can also win cash prizes.
The Program Board offers free events every week and should be taken advantage of by all Bloomsburg students, since there are many more to come this semester.
