At least once in our life, we have sent out a nude to someone. Whether it is to a crush, a significant other, or to a f***boy, it has happened to all of us. It can be nerve wrecking because once you press send, there are a million possibilities that can happen. Another scary thing about sending a nude is the fact it is forever in the “cloud”. There are multiple factors you have to think about before sending out a nude. Once you do decide to send your nude, you must make sure it is the best of the best.

     First consideration with taking a selfie, is being sure who you are sending it to is completely trustworthy. If you have the slightest doubt whether the person will misuse the photo you sent them, don’t send it. Another thing to think of, is if the other person’s phone is safe to keep those photos. Does the person have a passcode or people that regularly go through their phone? Something to think about as well is if you are comfortable with the person screenshotting your photos. If you are for the first time sending out a nude to someone new and they screen shot the photo, are you comfortable with this person having them? Even though Snapchat informs us when someone takes a screenshot of our image, we all know Snapchat is not reliable with preventing it from happening. There are some apps you can download for free on your iPhone or Android to ward off screenshots and expire photos once they have been opened. Lastly, be sure to capture your nude body and not your face. This includes identifiable details as well, which can be birthmarks, jewelry, and tattoos.

     Once you are secure with who and how you are sending your nudes, it is time to craft the perfect selfie. The first rule of sending nudes, is making sure it is not a full body picture. What I mean by your full body, is showing boobs and vagina. If you do this, you have already let the person see everything and there is no more mystery and interest to you. Make sure with whatever you decide to take a photo of, you are comfortable taking it. This is your decision, and no one should pressure you to do something you don’t want to do. With that being said, you should always work your angles and figure out which is best for you. For example, your left side is better than your right, or your right boob is nicer than your left. Something I always find difficult is getting the perfect booty picture. For me, I place the camera as if it is looking up my butt to make it look perfect and plump. Always accentuate your best asset. If you choose to take a mirror selfie, remember to clean the mirror!

     Bear in mind, you should continuously be confident with your body no matter what. Your body is beautiful! Take your nudes however you like. Nudes don’t have to be you being completely nude. The rule of “less is more” is a guideline I live by. I take my nudes with cute undies with great lighting. If I don’t do that, I typically wear an oversized T-shirt with nothing under. This makes my boyfriend go wild. It is the little things that make your nudes special. Be safe as to who you send your photos to and happy sexting!
