Austin Edgette earned Husky of the Week honors with his productive day at the plate in a game against East Stroudsburg on April 3. Edgette helped Bloomsburg take an early 5-1 lead over ESU with a grand slam in the bottom of the second inning. The redshirt junior from Exton, Pa then added to BU’s lead with RBI singles in both the third and fifth innings. Edgette finished the day 4-4 at the plate with six RBI and crossed home plate four times himself as well. The BU outfielder is currently batting .308 on the season with 22 RBIs, a homerun and 10 stolen bases. The BU Baseball team is currently 13-11-1 on the season.

     Junior Emily Mayhew also earned Husky of the Week honors for her impressive performance on the softball field in Bloomsburg’s 10-1 win over Clarion on April 2. The centerfielder had a solid day at the plate, getting BU’s offense going with a sac fly in the first inning. Mayhew kept her offensive production going, doubling and hitting two RBIs in the second inning, then doubling with an RBI in the fifth. She is currently hitting .317 on the season with 10 RBI in 20 games. The BU Softball team currently sits at 11-11 on the season and is 4-0 in PSAC play.
