By the time someone was to enroll in college, you would think common sense would be something that they picked up throughout their life. When it comes to drivers in Bloomsburg, that is simply just not the case. This generation seems to have a severe problem with multitasking, that is, paying attention to the road while also looking at road signs. If a stop sign says “except right turn,” how hard is it to understand you do not have to stop if you’re turning right?
If I pull up to a stop sign before you, please don’t cut me off just because you want to be first in line for late-night wings. These are simple things that can be fixed solely by having more courtesy and not acting like you own the road. Speaking of owning the road, stay in your lane! Why should I have to swerve into oncoming traffic because you can’t decide what lane you want to be in? It’s crazy to me that most modern cars have a lane assist feature and people still can’t understand that just looking before you change lanes can save you from so many problems.
Also, those shiny reflecting things on the side of your car have a reason for being there, you know. Another staple of modern cars is parking assistance or even an auto-park feature. So why is it that I see so many people completely diagonal in a spot or taking up two spots? I shouldn’t have to try to squeeze into a spot and then barely be able to get my door open. Once again, simple problems, simple fixes.
