What’s happening:
CU libraries have sent out a survey to students to evaluate their services.
Why it matters:
The surveys get sent out every three years to all PASSHE universities. Students can provide feedback on what they want to see in their campus libraries.
The background:
According to Holly Jackson, the Student Success Librarian at Mansfield, feedback from the survey in the past has had a big impact on the North Hall Library in Mansfield. “We always have a few comments about how people who would like to see our hours adjusted, usually they would like to see things later, so we were able to get the hours extended. We’re open until eleven o’clock now…”
Prizes are given to randomly selected students who take the survey. “We have $225 worth of prizes at each of the big three campuses.” There are five additional prizes of $30 in Husky Gold for Bloomsburg students.
The data from the five-minute survey is compared to the other PASSHE schools, and faculty members can participate in the survey before November 15th. QR codes leading to the survey can be found across campus.
