As the last weeks of summer roll away and classes kick up, it can be easy to forget about time for leisure. Luckily, local amusement park Knoebels made sure to end off their 2024 season with a splash! Over Labor Day weekend, the park hosted discounted use of their pools and slides and their 10th annual Doggie Dive event. Along with the sheer benefit of spending quality time with dogs, all proceeds from food and ticket sales were donated to local animal shelters. In another positive turn of events for Knoebels, the acclaimed wooden coaster Phoenix has won the Golden ticket award for the 6th consecutive year in a row, continuing its reign against El Toro at Six Flags Great America and The Voyage at Holiday World. The humble refurbished coaster continues to climb in rankings among coaster enthusiasts as well, ranking #21 on popular forum Coasterbuzz. Make sure you get over there and ride it before off-season. Another Golden Ticket Award addressed to Knoebels should entice foodies everywhere – Best food of 2024. Gourmands can gorge on several new options on snacks and drinks this year, including bubble tea and Roaring Creek Ripple ice cream sundaes.
