Episode 5:
Episode 5 kicked off with “Deep Dive BINGO,” in which players had to dive in the pool for marked chips to get BINGO. Unlike standard bingo, the goal was to make an “X” across the board. New Gator was the winner of this competition, sending New Python to the episode’s first tribal council.
After voting, Python sent home Dylan Hartranft.
The second challenge of the night was “Water Ball Soaker Relay.” In this challenge, players had to position themselves at one section of the relay. Part one had a player hitting golf balls onto a floating green to gain points. Part two players used water guns to knock down six solo cups while treading water. In Part Three, players had to pass a ball while swimming over the race flags using only a scoop ball stick. Finally, in part four, two players had to swim a lap of the pool while holding onto a watermelon ball. In the end, it was Python that took the win, and sent Gator to tribal council.
New Gator voted Hailey Kelly as the fourteenth Castaway in an intense tribal council. One player used an “Idol Nullifier Advantage,” which voided all immunity idols in this round of voting. Tatiana Beckworth had used an idol, but it became null and void. Additionally, Hailey Kelly attempted to play an idol, but it turned out to be a fake. Another unbeknownst Castaway played an extra vote that secured Kelly’s fate as the next Castaway out of the games.
In another turn of events, both teams were merged, making the rest of this season an individual competition. From here on out, it is player vs. player. Players were divided into mini teams for the next challenge to determine immunity. In each mini-game, the two winners got to move on, and the two losers were sent to the first free-for-all tribal council.
In this tribal council, Jake Casella used a hidden idol to cancel out votes on himself, a safety advantage key was used anonymously, a castaway used an extra vote, and one castaway lost their vote due to breaking the no communication policy during the voting process. In the end, it was Nate Conway who was voted out, concluding episode 5.
Episode 6:
Episode 6 began with a game of Connect 4 for safety. In this solo immunity challenge, the 15 remaining players chose a pipe cleaner out of a bag to designate their temporary challenge team. The teams of 5 tried to make a life-sized Connect 4 using a large board assembled on the softball field. It functioned as a relay in which players could either place a new circle on the board or move one of the team’s previously placed circles. The winners of the game were Trey Sterling, Anthony Witczak, and Tatiana Beckworth.
In the episode’s first tribal council, one safety advantage and one key were used to secure Brady Armstrong’s safety. In the end, Owen (Ozzy) Zulli was voted off in the first tribal council of the episode.
The second challenge was “1-2-3-4 Who’s Headed Out the Door?” in which players competed in four different challenges. In part one, the players were randomly divided into two groups of seven. These groups played a penalty kick shootout, and the winners were Lee Habalar, Trey Sterling, Chase Shutt, Hope Garavaglia, Julia Bono, Gianna Corropolese, and Jake Casella. In part two, the winners had to plank until one fell. In the end, Trey Sterling, Chase Shutt, Hope Garavaglia, Gianna Corropolese, and Jake Casella won. The six of them moved on to part three, a tire-flipping challenge. The winners were put into another two, groups and flipped a tire from point A to point B. Lee Habalar, Jake Casella, and Trey Sterling came out on top of this section. Moving on to the last part of the challenge. Each player received a burlap bag and had to find six matching bags with instructions inside. Once they found all of their bags, they had to organize them according to the instructions inside. Trey Sterling won the challenge, making him immune in the next tribal council.
In the second council of the episode, Julia Bono was voted out.
For the third and final challenge of the episode, the remaining castaways played “Think Fast Kickball.” In this variation of kickball, players used headlamps and lanterns to see the game and had to score as many runs as possible in 7 and a half minutes. The winning team consisted of Hope Garavagila, Brady Armstrong, Chase Shutt, Lee Habalar, Jake Casella, and Trey Sterling. They moved on to the next part to play “Think Fast,” all in a line facing the host and shouting out words that fit into a given category. Last to think of something was out of the challenge. The winners were Lee Habalar and Hope Garavaglia.
In the final tribal council of the episode, one safety key was used in secret and and an immunity advantage was used no Tatiana Beckworth. It was Kamryn Van Daalen who was voted out at the end of the episode, concluding the 6th episode of BU Survivor Season 2.
