‘Fifty Shades Freed’ is the climax fans want

“Fifty Shades” stems to certain kinds of people: ones who are “into” this type of sexual relationship or fantasy, and others who are not. Yet, it still brings in plenty of people because, well, curiosity killed the cat. A few weeks ago, the final installment of this saga came into theaters, “Fifty Shades Freed.”

The first one was definitely a letdown because the plot hadn’t kicked in, and audiences could see the on-screen awkwardness between the actors playing Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. The second installment seemed to do much better and became a favorite because we got steamier sex scenes and, finally, an attention-grabbing plot. Let’s also not forget the fact that these movies constantly have great soundtracks to back it up.

Now, don’t call “Oh my gosh you spoiled it!” because the previous two movies have been out for a few years, plus the books came first. But the audience is left at the end of the movie with an engagement, so as expected, there will be a wedding. And what a wedding it was. It’s obvious that Christian Grey goes above and beyond for his beloved Anastasia, and you can’t help but wish you had your own Mr. Grey in your life.

“Fifty Shades Freed” came with the sex scenes that we were all anticipating. The faint of heart may not be into these scenes. BDSM is not everyone’s cup of tea. But for the ones who like to pride themselves on being “A lady in the streets but a freak in the sheets,” you may want to take out your sexual frustration on your partner after the movie – just a suggestion.

This installment of the series definitely gave us more suspense than any of the others, and besides the multiple sex scenes, it makes the audience wait for the climax until the very end. There’s a crazed man on the loose (no, surprisingly not Christian), kidnapping, lies and a “happy ending.”
Some aspects are well-expected; others leave you on the edge of your seat, in more ways than one. Tired of the innuendos yet? No? Great!

The music for this movie is amazing. To be honest, half of them are from the sex scenes. But once you get past that point, you can hear how great the soundtrack really is. Sia, Rita Ora, Liam Payne, Julia Michaels, Hailee Steinfeld and Jessie J give us a sultry remix of “I Got You (I Feel Good)” that is too good to resist. We even get Christian (Jamie Dornan) singing a classic, “Maybe I’m Amazed,” and it’s insane that this man has that good of a voice.

To top it all off and make the end come full circle, Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” plays us out and we get to reflect on how Anastasia and Christian came to be and how their love will forever push them to be the best they can be for themselves. Of course, we know their sex lives could never possibly get boring.

“Fifty Shades Freed” was satisfying, in every meaning of the word, and solidified the happy ending we were waiting for. Get to your local theater, drag your significant other, your girlfriends, maybe not your family, and let the color Grey into your life.

Also, thanks for the slightly unrealistic expectations you gave us, Christian; our boyfriends are forever screwed, pun intended.
