The Bloomsburg University field hockey team dropped its second consecutive match on Wednesday afternoon in a 3-2 overtime setback to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) rival Kutztown University.
With the loss, the Huskies drop to 2-6 (0-2 PSAC) overall while the fifth-ranked Golden Bears improved to 7-2 (2-0 PSAC) on the year.
After the first half of play, the Huskies were exactly where they wanted to be leading 2-0 at the midway point. Sophomore defenseman Callie Edwards notched her first goal of the season off a penalty stroke just five minutes into play.
Sophomore forward Foto Tsioles then tallied her fifth of the season in the twentieth minute to extend the lead.
Kutztown went on to use two second-half goals and the overtime winner to preserve the win over the Huskies.
