This week, Bloomsburg University offered a multitude of on-campus events to celebrate Veterans Day, with events starting on Monday, November 11 and lasting until Friday, November 15.

On Monday, Veterans Day was kicked off with the “Veterans Breakfast” at the University Store. The breakfast was followed by a number of activities such as the Yellow Ribbon Display, presented by the Bloomsburg University Student Veterans Association or BUSVA, on the quad. On Tuesday, students were able to show their support by picking up a free pin in the Military Office. On Wednesday afternoon, the quad was lined with tents and army trucks to celebrate the holiday.

Marlon Argueta, ROTC sophomore, shared his thoughts about his time in the military, “I plan on becoming an infantry CO, which will put me in a huge leadership position; being able to thrive under high-stress is key.”

The week continued with the “Letters to Veterans” event on the Student Services Center patio on Thursday and finished off on Friday with the “Veterans Suicide Awareness Walk” and the Marine Corps. 244th Birthday Celebration.
