Bloomsburg Homecoming Parade

During the annual Bloomsburg University Homecoming Parade, students showed their school spirit and love for their community by coming out on Saturday to march through town to the sounds of marching bands ranging from our own marching Huskies (bottom left) to local high schools such as Central Columbia and Bloomsburg High School. Student organizations showcased their unique personalities and livened up the parade through performances (BU Dance Ensemble, bottom right) and sweetened the experience by throwing candy and other goodies (OWLS, center left). Even faculty came out to join in the festivities, with recently retired president Dr. Soltz (top right) taking a ride through the streets of Bloom in a beautiful classic car. The parade was open to many organizations who aren’t part of the university, such as local Girl Scouts and local Shriners, tying the university into the community that loves us. The parade was the perfect way for BU to say they were ready for game time (APO, top left)!
