Huskies Fall to Rams in Three Sets

It has been a rough season so far for your Bloomsburg Women’s Huskies Volleyball team. The Huskies now sit at 4-16 on the season. And now sits at 1-6 in the PSAC East.

The Huskies are coming off a 3-0 loss to Shepherd University. Shepard dominated the first set taking it 25-10. It was a very hard fought second set with  a lot of excitement. The Rams went on to take that set 25-23. The Rams then went on to close the game out finishing the Huskies with a 25-14 third set win. 

Fr. Emma Antigua led the Huskies with 6 kills. Followed by Gr. Sydney Buell and Sr. Shayana Warfel who both added 3 kills for the Huskies. 

For the Rams Jr. Mikaylah Hoy led both teams with 14 kills. Soph.Joi Fairweather and Sr. Kitanna Rakestraw both added six kills each for the Rams.

The Rams finished with 36 kills to the Huskies 17. Also the Rams had eight aces to the Huskies five. Shepard then had five blocks to Bloomsburg three, 34 assists to Bloomsburg 16, and finally the Rams finished with 53 digs to the Huskies 40. Shepard went on to win the game  all around.

The Huskies look to get back on track as they host Lock  Haven University in a PSAC East Conference game Friday 6pm at Nelson Field House.
