Dean of Students Quits the Commonwealth

Nicholas Spallone

Bloomsburg, PA – Dr. Scott Kane, Bloomsburg Dean of Students and Associate VP for Student Success & Campus Life to Commonwealth University, is resigning from his positions effective this Friday, November 11. Yesterday morning, an email was sent through Marketing and Communications informing all staff and faculty confirming this.

Despite being a newer person to the role, students took a liking to him almost immediately. His level-headedness and intelligence shone through when assisting in sensitive issues around campus.

Dr. Kane previously served as the interim Dean of Students for Mansfield University before becoming the Dean of Students for Bloomsburg and Mansfield in 2021.

The Voice will provide updates to the story as more information is released.
