BU Peer career coaches wants to help

Andrea O’Neill, Contributing Writer

Hey Huskies! It’s Maddie Vetter ‘21 again, one of the three Peer Career Coaches, along with Iyanna Williams ‘23 and Jared Strauss ‘21, at the Greenly Center. We want to let you know about the wide range of career services available for students of all majors and years. So, what does a peer coach do? First, we discuss what you want from your time at BU and what you want your life to look like after. Then, we plan.

Everyone, regardless of industry, needs a resume to display and highlight their skills. Every student needs to activate their Handshake profile to manage their career experiences and apply for jobs, and it never hurts to learn how to use LinkedIn and network more efficiently, especially devoting time to research employers of interest.

We offer professional headshots for LinkedIn profiles and host “How To” workshops for LinkedIn. We’re also are a friendly face at the Career Intensive Boot Camp, Career Connections Expos, and other various events to boost your confidence in these professional, yet fun, environments.

Please stop by and have a conversation with one of us so we can help YOU #BloomOnward!

Monday – Friday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.   Third Floor, Greenly Center, 50 East Main Street

And don’t forget about our Careers in Communication, Management and Marketing Expo on March 5 in KUB from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. If you’re thinking of a career in this industry, no matter your major or class year, you NEED to come to this!
