The Horny Husky: Call me “Daddy”

We all have different pet names for our significant other. “Babe” is probably the most common of all pet names, whereas I tend to call my partner “honey”. These are terms of endearment. However, it seems that when we hear someone call their boyfriend “daddy” or their girlfriend “mami”, we tend to become grossed out. Why is this? What makes this weird and why do people call each other that?

Calling your boyfriend daddy is a very controversial subject. It seems that you either hate it or you don’t. Guys tend to automatically think that the person has daddy issues, when that’s not the case. It appears to be that a lot of guys are weirded out by the thought of a person calling them daddy. On the other hand, there are guys that don’t mind it at all and are open to being called “daddy”.  The reason a person may call their significant other “daddy” is because they see them as a person who is taking charge. They see them as a strong and reliable person. Same goes for calling your girlfriend “mami”. In some cases, it tends to be a cultural phrase. It can mean “baby” or “sexy” but it can also be used when calling a female confident or in control.

During sex, some people think it is a different story. Calling your man daddy during sex can mean that you are allowing him in as a strong male authority in a totally different way than you may think. Females tend to want their men to take over and dominate (if you’re into that). This then leads to calling him daddy because sometimes “babe” just doesn’t cut it. As for calling your girlfriend “mami”, it can be an indicator of telling her that she is doing a great job in bed. If you think about it, is it really that different than dirty talking during sex?

Obviously, this is not for everyone. You are either the person who is comfortable with being called daddy or you are the person who is weirded out and starts to genuinely think about your father. But it ultimately come downs to the question of who the hell cares and does it really matter? I mean, we all have quirks that we do with our significant other and those quirks may be odd to the person next to us. The other people around us are not the ones in your relationship.

So therefore, go ahead and call your man “daddy” or call your girl “mami.” And if you’re not into it, then don’t.
